Pencil Cactus Plant - BARE ROOT

Listing is for ONE (1) each small rooted pencil cactus plant. Plants very in size and shape but will all have healthy root systems.
Number of branches vary as each plant grows slightly differently. All are rooted from cuttings and grown by Weezy's Way. These plants are all grown with love from my own pencil cactus tree cutting I received years ago from my grandmother. Over the years, it has grown into a tall and bushy plant that everyone seems to love.
Each plant is carefully picked, washed and packaged with care. We strive to provide the best plants possible and have happy customers that return for repeating business. If you prefer to be able to see a picture of some to choose from, message us and let us know. We don't mind at all showing you what you will be receiving or even letting you have a few choices to choose from.
PLANTS SHIP BARE ROOT. We ship bare root to be able to pass along savings to you! Same type and size as others, just without the small pot of dirt. Plants are all healthy, hearty and all have good rooting systems. We pull the plant, wash all of the dirt from the roots, wrap them in a wet paper towel and then again in a dry paper towel. Then we wrap the plant in paper and package carefully. We ship bare root because of a few reasons. One, it is lighter and uses a lot less packaging which allows us to ship sooner and quicker at a lower cost. Two, we believe it is better for the customer to see exactly what they received. Being able to see the roots is a big part of purchasing plants. When receiving, simply soak the roots for a little bit in some water and then plant in well draining soil in your own container. Three, most plants that are shipped in nursing containers end up being immediately re-potted and the containers thrown away. This is one of our little ways to cause less garbage in our world :)
These plants are Native to Africa and India. Pencil Cacti require very low maintenance. They love bright light and little watering (water every couple of weeks during summer, and very rarely to none during winter). The pencil cactus is actually a type of succulent, not a cactus plant. This succulent shrub features thick branches that split off into long, narrow stems that are about as thick as a pencil. In late spring and early summer, small flowers grow at the end of the stems. If grown outside, a pencil cactus can reach up to 30 feet tall and 10 feet wide. Indoors, a pencil cactus can grow up to six feet tall and three feet wide.
